In 1968, Raymond Grenald established Reymond Grenald Lighting under the vision of addressing people’s perception of architectural space through the use of light . Ray was one of the pioneers who lead the way in the specialization of architectural lighting design as a profession. Lee Waldron, with a background in theatre, film and television lighting, joined Ray in 1976 and helped to foster a public appreciation of good lighting design.Grenald Waldron Lighting was found in Philadelphia in 1994.Over years, GWL has increased its prominence within the lighting community and added experienced lighting designers with diverse backgrounds from architecture, engineering, entertainment and interior design.
